Please may I as if spybot S&D compatible with avast home running at startup? Because if sometime avast downloading updates while i’m on gaming, playing dota at garena then one of suddent avast update pop out then hang. Sometime while playing dota at garena again it hangs, then when after restarting the pc switch on the internet the avast update. So i think when im playing dota at garena, the avast updating that makes the pc hang because im just have 512mb of physical ram and theres a resident spybot running at startup. I also have Malwarebytes on demand scanner and Internet Explorer 8. And I think i have enough video card (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS) Now what would i do, except adding a physical ram? Maybe should I download avast update manually?
Spybot S&D is compatible with avast. I have been using both for more than 5 years.
I think that the problem is that, when the problem happens, there are too many programs running for the amount of RAM. How much virtual RAM do you have? Increasing virtual RAM, id possible, might help.
currently my virtual ram set to:
initial size: 1536mb
Maximum size: 3072mb
How does it occur, I mean, this hang?
Maybe you don’t have enough bandwidth while gaming and trying to update avast…
That seems enough.
Other than maybe not enough physical RAM, Tech’s suggestion of not enough bandwidth could also be part of the problem.
Often , we have 1.3 to 1.5mbps internet connection in terms of download speed and 700 to 800 kbps in terms of upload speed.
