Is there a firefox extension for avast?

You know, i may just (Ok i am) be a noob.

First off i’ve never figured out the right path for when programs, like trillian, ask you if you want incoming files scanned by your antivirus agent.
I assume it isnt the shortcut like also put down…LOL…I told you i’m a noob.

As for the point of my topic, it is if there is an extension for firefox or a way to perform a scan of the object while its beeing downloaded onto your computer?

Sorry if its the sort of thing like…Peanut butter on the middle pantry shelf while looking up, down, and side to side not seeing it…

And also sorry if this is in the wrong forum. It seems like the right one. Too bad there isnt a noob forum

Webshield, P2P shield and IM shield scan traffic as it comes down to your computor. The file for scanning via a download manager is ashquick.exe in the avast folder. Hope that helps

Course it does. Thanks alot

But I’ve had programs I’ve purposively downloaded before. They were passive easily removable viruses. The avast didn’t catch it, but then later on a scan found it.

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe

WebShield will scan all HTTP traffic before the files are saved in your computer

Well! Its all solved. Twice.

(too bad not thrice. Lol, thrice is more fun then the bland twice…Hehehehe)

Thanks alot
