Cnet recommended “all in one keylogger” but this was stopped and removed by Avast. I need to use short term to check one account on home computer.
what do me by stopped, did you get a popup saying threat detected or something has been blocked
anthony
You can add it to avast! exclusion list.
But, consider another methods to achieve parental control (if you’re trying this) with www.k9webprotection.com, for instance.
Keyloggers are always bad coming to antivirus programs…
I don’t want to censor the use of the computer so k9webprotection is not the answer. Avast treated “all in one keylogger” as malware.
And it is. This was discussed a lot in the past, I mean, if keyloggers should be considered malware or PUP (potential unwanted program). The malware won.
The installer (not the installed program) is a malware to McAfee (https://www.virustotal.com/file/0a8bc5164686efdb6c36f17ad0cf69592a908ef4272eaf135b129325f02a4787/analysis/).
I understand why antivirus programs would want to treat the likes of “all in one keylogger” as a malware. I suppose my true question to you as someone much more knowledgable is, if I download this program and add it the the exclusion list, use it for a few days and then delete it will it harm my computer or open it to other threats?
You dont say what detection name avast gave it… Was it detected as PUP ?
