Is there a way to exclude Steam from Avast?

Hi everyone, is there a way to exclude Steam client from Avast?

Whenever Steam is downloading, Avast eats all my CPU time. I have tried excluding the entire Steam folder but it seems not working. Is there any trick or special setting to exclude Steam?

You’re mixing things up. The OP is talking about Steam not streaming updates.
