Is there any way to install JUST the web shield with another AV on the PC?

I really love it. But I already have an AV. Will there be any conflicts if I just install only the web shield with another AV installed?

I wouldn’t recommend it, you should only have one anti-virus product installed on the system at any one time.

Rats. I know about the no 2 AV thing. I just thought part of an AV might not hurt. Rats haha thanks.

You could install avast in “Compatibility Mode”.
I don’t know exactly which shields are still used but you would find that out soon after the install.

The OP only wants the Webshield Bob, compatibility mode as i believe only leaves the scriptshield active i think ??? definitely does not install the webshield anyway.

You think and I don’t know for sure which is why I mentioned that fact in my post.

Theres not really much info on it from what i can find, just this little bit posted below. I would think the webshield would not be installed due to direct conflict with the webscanning of another AV :-\

“… Customizable installation Your avast! software can now be installed in Compatibility Mode, meaning that it will run perfectly along with your other antivirus software to act as a second line of defense. And even if you install avast! in normal mode, you are given the possibility to install the components you really need.”

So I can install just the web shield and also have Comodo IS?

Who is saying that?

Please read the replies.
None of us have said that.

Sorry misread the compatibility post.

yes i am sure that compatibility mode only installs script shield. u can do on-demand scans and boot-time scans in that mode.

tested with avg 2012 free.
