Is this app a false positive?

I stumbled across a timer/stopwatch/alarm app called XNote Timer through some recommendations I found: (http://arstechnica.co.uk/civis/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1137832).

Their download page (http://www.xnotestopwatch.com/download.html#download) gives brief mention to false positives:

I downloaded the xntimer.exe (free version of XNote Stopwatch), and Avast blocked it as Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]. Their forums don’t give any mention to this.

I am 99% certain this is a false positive, but I have to know for sure. Can somebody confirm? I’ve never been in this situation before… :-\
