Is this just a free installation or is everything free?

I have had 3 antivirus softwares (cyberdefender, PC Tools Antivirus, Stop Sign) that said they were completely free. Two of them said my computer was infected, and the other one said everything was normal. All of them are free to download, but you have to pay to get the viruses removed. My friend told me that she has and antivirus software thats free everything. You get a pop up blocker, spam alert, free scans, alerts if computer is infected, free virus removal, and a firewall. Now I have been tricked 3 times that said this stuff was free. I need to know from an experienced user of this software if it is all free or if their is a catch.

Avast.

Well, avast is just an antivirus+antirootkit+antispyware.
It’s NOT a popup blocker, antispam neither a firewall.

Yes, it’s all free. It’s just not a suite as you’ve said before.

Yes. It’s a serious application, not a joke, not a trick to buy the Professional version.
