Since the last major update of the avast engine I have been having an additional tab open whenever I open my browser. (Browser nonspecific issue) . As much as I like using Avast this extra tab opening is bothersome. The page opens and is listed as http://aos.avast.com/upgrade/2006 and is hosted in the Czech Republic and otherwise looks legitimate.
I originally assumed the page would stop loading once I saved the settings but it is still popping up on every time I open the browsers.
It is just a nuisance at this point.
Anyone from management want to suggest that this be changed?
There have been other such posts/complaints of this nuisance.
If you choose, You can Uninstall AOS(Avast Online Security) by unticking “Browser Protection” when you go to Programs and Features, choose Avast and choose ‘Change’ This will bring up all Modules>Shields and Tools
