Issues in 6.0.1203.0

Hi, I am shifting to AVAST from another vendor.Generally though the performance is great
I find certain issues can be addressed better.

1.Password protection
I have protected my settings. When I am adjusting the scan expert settings etc for “Folder scan”, “Screen saver scan”, “Context menu scan” it is annoying to enter password again and again. When you are in the “Scan module” entering password once should suffice for all till you quit out of that.

2.File shield /scan time stamp
Though the quarantine has time stamp , file shield just lists the files. It would be very useful
if a time stamp is given , to find out which file was recently blocked to address any issues.I think it is a very very trivial issue…

3.Virus chest
Moving files that have been detected to Virus chest seems a drawn out process with a CPU hog.
Can it be done with a lesser CPU priority and a progress (%) bar as well. The screen seems to temporarily hang during the process.

If suggestions are welcome I would find it interesting to participate…

By no means trying to bump. But a general reply even would be encouraging. I do not
seem to have committed any breach of etiquette. Are those issues which are listed supposed to be adjusted by means of any option…?

Well, besides the high CPU, I’m not sure what reply could be posted. You are making suggestions, and Avast Team might consider these suggestions for future releases.

About the CPU, I don’t know what else you are doing that would require to reduce the priority of Avast. In any case, if something is being sent to the chest, I actually would give more priority, not less. In fact, I would stop other programs, if not for priority issues, to be as safe as I can. I would save all documents, and I’d investigate what might be wrong with the objects Avast sent to the chest.
