Issues with Intel Atom PC--With Avast 6.0.1203 Free

While using the PC suddently it goes Preparing to Standby Constantly, in additon running virus scans and Malwarebytes finds nothing, did a clean install using factory recovery dvd recently, and it’s still doing it.

Seems like a virus, but nothing can detect anything, even tried MSE briefly on it, and said was all clean. So now i’m stumped

Anything else i should try?

The PC is wired to the Router via Cat5e Ethernet

Family was doing p2p stuff on it a while back

if you suspect malware, then follow the sticky “Logs to assist in cleaning malware” in the virus and worms section, and attach an OTS log

Ok will do, if i can get the thing to stay outta standby mode long enough to get logs done, but i will give it a shot
