I had avast on a different computer and it worked wonderfully, I had no problems whatsoever with anything on my computer. Then after purchasing a new computer and installing avast I’m having a great deal of difficulty with opening a program.
It’s a game that worked perfectly on the other computer. Originally it would say: “A third party program has been detected and the game is shutting down” I know this was avast opening the game in the sandbox so I excluded it from the sandbox and it would open normally.
With the new computer, I did the same thing but halfway through the loading screen it glitches my screen and then brings forth the blue screen of death and shuts down my computer. This has only started happening since I installed avast and I was wondering if there’s some sort of setting that I have to change to allow the game to open.
I know the game is safe I’ve used it on countless numbers of computers before I just don’t know why this is happening. Thanks~
Just a thought here, your new computer would be win7 right ? was the other computer the same version or earlyer ( xp ) is the game designed to be installed on win7.
Another thought is have you removed the pre installed AV that would have come on your newly purchased system before installing avast ?
The computer I originally installed it on and my new one are both windows 7. There was no AV software installed when I bought the computer thus why I installed Avast. But as soon as I did it crashes the game.
I contacted the Game support and they say that a recent patch from avast is interupting the start up.
Also just about all systems come with a pre-installed AV, it may or may not be activated ( trial ) but will still pose an issue so are you positive there is no other AV lurking around in the system, MSE could even be there if the system was connected to the net for windows updates before installing avast.
