I have just downloaded my free Avast 4.8 and my security center persists in telling me that my antivirus is out of date. I have downloaded the latest updated but still no good. Fire wall in on and auto updates is likwaise on.I am running a normal Home XP.
Any takers ???
Just in case, have you rebooted the computer? If so, it may be a problem with Security Center although I think it is odd for it not to recognize the date while it does recognize Avast!. You may find the link below useful.

Check your system date (double click the clock) and ensure the Day Month and Year are correct adjust as required.
