hello

i tried to download 1 software and i not got any popup from avast that it is infected. but when i tried to install the avast then i got popup from avast web sheild that it has harmful page.

i scanned that software in virus total but most results shows it is secure software.

then why avast is blocking software from installing.

PUP = not malware / Possible Unwanted Program

Seems it comes bundled with somoto crap … If you can custom install, use that and uncheck any extra crap

Seems you installed some adware by mistake.

Run MBAM (I assume you have it?) and Adwcleaner. Will fix it up nicely!

Avast! might detect Adwcleaner, so disable the Shields. Usually after every update, Avast! detects then re-whitelist’s it lol

It is not a virus or malware as such, but when it comes bundled with another program and you did not knwo this, it is called a potentially unwanted program. You are still strongly advised to remove it from your computer.

yes i tried to install virtual wifi router,it works as wifi. as u said it also have unwanted programs in it.so is there any way to remove that unwanted programs and to keep that virtual wifi for my use in my laptop?

i want to remove that unwanted program from virtual wifi router.but virtual wifi router should work.

PUP can be removed with Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner

i got malwarebytes in laptop.when i scaned with it,it showed many malwares in my laptop and then i clicked delete button.

after few days my laptop faced problems in starting or gets slow. so i formatted my laptop with factory settings and also i installed all softwares and done settings in my laptop as my need.which seems me so boring to install again from 1st step. so i though malwarebytes everytime detects false postive malwares. and i not installed malwarebytes till now.i only have avast.

i trust avast more than malwarebytes.i know nothing will get harm in my laptop till avast is in my laptop.i using avast from 4 years and still my no.1

Malwarebytes is very low on FP and the few they have are quikly fixed
It is the best extra scanner you can have

Adwcleaner will clear your browsers for crap ware

what about registry keys?many times malwarebytes delete some files from registry keys which gives errors in laptop i.e slows laptop or taking more time in start

The errors for the keys probab;y only indicate it’s missing files…
