It took me forever and I had to uninstall avast in order to install a program. I finally installed it and it looked like everything was fine when I opened it. Then, when I went to open a file with the program it put it in the chest. This is every annoying and I don’t know what to do about it. I added the program to the exceptions but it seems not to work. I am tired of having to remove avast so that I can run my program. Anything I can do?
Does avast give a message when removing it, if so what does it say? … a screenshot would help

it says “threat was detected and blocked before it was executed”. I would give a screen shot if I know how to. I thought I had set up the exception with the correct file path but it keeps blocking and removing jzip. I have no problem with jzip on any of my other computers.

Why do you have an antivirus program running in the first place? If it annoys you why have it installed and run it?
