hi pondus ,
the new variants of RENOS(alias.FakeAlert)is coming out all the time and before long , i will get some other renos samples undetected and could “reproduce” the “difference” again

Then you should send them directly to avast (see #### below) and not post sharing links for what at the time you considered malware. This is a publicly accessible forum and you have no control over who can access that link or what they might do with the content.
Please modify your post (Reply #5 of this topic) and remove the file sharing link.
####
Send and sample/s directly to avast as a Undetected Malware:
Open the chest and right click in the Chest and select Add, navigate to where you have the sample and add it to the chest. Once in the chest, right click on the file and select 'Submit to virus lab...' complete the form and submit, the file will be uploaded during the next update. Note: manually adding to the chest doesn't remove them from the original location, so they still have to be dealt with in that location.
Or
Send the sample to virus (at) avast (dot) com zipped and password protected with the password in email body, a link to this topic might help and false positive/undetected malware in the subject.
Is anyone surprised that a crack file contains malware ???
Not at all David.
