Ok, So while I was playing some games on steam (CS:GO) I came across a trade, and i knew it was a scam so I tried to click block but I accidentally clicked the link. Avast has detected it and im following the steps for removal but the file that avast has detected MBAM did not pick it up. I will submit my Logs and I am new here so do I post my logs here??? Thank you
The malware-gen in the Avast quarantine zone is called “Unconfirmed768111.crdownload”
The unconfirmed download is the one intercepted by Avast!, and did not complete the download.
You should be clear, but will notify anyways.
When you attach logs
Oh I hope you’re right. because when I presses the link it started downloading, then I pressed cancel as fast as I could. The logs did not pick up the Malware that was intercepted by Avast. But I am not sure if it is still on my computer. Thank you man
Anyone Have a Way that I can scan or delete the half downloaded file?
Empty browser cache and delete temp files and you should be good to go.
Sorry But I Don’t know How To Do That, Can You Help Me? I know that the download is still cancelled in my chrome.
If you don’t know how to do it manually, probably best to use a tool.
E.g. CCleaner can empty the browser cache as well as clean your temp files.

Thanks Man
You’re welcome.
I forgot my last avast password after i cleaned it with CC Cleaner.
I just opened CSGO and suddenly it crashed then oped up CMD then started downloading or some thing, it started loading till 100% then disappeared. I think that may be a hack or a key logger! PLEASE HELP!
No malwares are comming up
I have realized 2 special programs running, winlogon.exe and csrss.exe they both only have 3 digit PID and both are not ran by me (USER) and also that csrss.exe wont let me open it in a folder. FISHY??
Anyone know why when I opened a game of CSGO it started opening CMD and loaded something?
Winlogon.exe and csrss.exe are windows files. csrss.exe is a protected file, are aren’t supposed to be able to access it for a reason…
If you’re worried about it, scan it with www.virustotal.com
I don’t know how CS:GO works, Honestly. However, I do have a few friends who play the game. I’ll check in with them, make sure it’s not a default thing or something.
No need to bump ^.^. I was aware of the post, however, with Exams, I am extremely busy.
Hmm, OK. Talked to a friend who plays a fair amount of CS:GO.
it shouldn't open CMD although may have been the automatic download from steam
Steam Auto Update, shouldn’t start CMD. However,do you have any products like Comodo Firewall installed?
