iTunes conflicting with Avast! Free

Whenever I try to restore a phone through iTunes it will stop and give me the error 3014. This error is caused by avast blocking gs.apple.com for whatever reason. I talked with apple support on this issue for about an hour and to further verify it was avast I uninstalled it. This removed the 3014 error from my computer. Any fixes/update to the program that could maybe fix this?

You may make exclusions GUI>Settings>Antivirus>scroll down to and make the exclusion.

Could you specify which directories I need to exclude? iTunes uses 3 different services I believe.

Which version of Windows are you using ???

Make sure any of the Apple services are allowed in Comodo. One huge one is the mDNS service, as that is the Apple Bonjour service. If that’s blocked iTunes will not see any other Apple device on your network (AppleTV, iOS devices syncing through WiFi, etc)
