Itunes network issue?

Can someone help me, my Itunes is taking a long time to load and it says it cant connect to the network or download any podcasts (error 3150 or something), yet the diagnostic tool within Itunes says everything is fine what coud be causing this issue?

ps I use Comodo firewall V2.4 but it has been fine with it for ages and I let it relearn its components and the issue is still there, Itunes used to be a really good program but lately its been messing up on my system

What is your iTunes version? Make sure you are using 7.6.1.

Also If I remember Each time I updated iTunes in XP I had to re-allow it through my firewall

I have the latest Itunes and have re-learned the program and still no luck

Try the steps here:

Hi Mac:

The open source makers of Hymn has backed out because of Apple threatening to take judiciary steps, but this still works beautifully: http://www.doubletwist.com/dt/Home/Index.dt
DRM was a content industry monstrum that is only costing them money, fear has always been a bad adviser,

Keep us posted. Sounds like traffic shaping with your ISP. iTunes Movies do use quite a bit of bandwidth and some ISPs are trying to block or limit them (like Comcast, See the thread on Net Neutrality)

Well Apple has said before that they want to sell music without DRM, but until the Music studios let them they are stuck. This is where Im hoping Amazon’s store does well. Amazon has no DRM on its music so hopefully if the record industry sees people want DRM free music they will let others sell it DRM free too.

Also on a related note Apple is now the No 2 Music retailer in the USA, behind only Wal-Mart.

My ISP must have “increased” traffic shaping as these issues were present before now but not to this degree I think they must be cutting corners, everyone on their forums is complaining of low speeds at certain times of the day while others get better than expected speeds :frowning:

Yes this is a big problem these days. There is some good reading on the subject in our Net Neutrality Thread here:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=33305.0

And im just curious, Who is your ISP? Have you contacted them about the issue?

If they are unwilling to help you with the problem I would suggest Contacting Apple. Afterall i’m sure they would like to know what internet providers are trying to interfere with their business. Apple does have a rather large Legal department

I may do just that, hopefully they will see the error of their ways but I believe others are already complaining so lets keep our fingers crossed, thanks for the help mate
