I've had it !!!

Hello,

I am (was) an Avast 4.8 pro user for some 4 years now…

I wrote to Avast support a number of times. I did not find the answers satisfactory.

Nor did I find, from the very beginning, the Avast interface anything near simple or user-friendly.

To top it all, I downloaded “Antivir” just to check. As I kept reading tests that repeatedly qualified Antivir one of the three top antimalware on the market.

I ran it on my comp and it found a dozen “trojans” that Avast had not detected.

Besides, and above all, I find the Antivir interface so much more intelligible and so much more rationally conceived than Avast.

So I decided that after some four years with Avast, it was time for me to have a comprehensive antimalware program that was really efficient and so much clearer and easier to handle and manage.

I unistalled Avast from my computer, and that’s the end of Avast for me !

Regards,

E. A.

bonne chance  (sont arrivés comment les troyens sur ton PC ??? )

;D ;D ;D :-X 8)

Did you try Version 5 with the user friendly interface? It’s so simple to navigate, a child can use it.

Avast 5 has an awesome gui ;D but detection rate is still the same as avast 4.8… atleast from what ive seen

And sometimes something detects something in the _RESTORE folder and users start to panic even though nothing really got past avast!.. Seen too many times… the magic of System Restore.

Eliasawad75, I stop using Avira when Version 10 came out, be careful with
the "8 trojans, they might be false positives. Probably they got detected
on your first scan, so be careful if you don’t know how to differentiate a
real virus from a false positive. I had Avira one year and the 12 detections
the scanner made on my computer were all false positives. I feel safer using Avast than Avira, think about what you doing and don’t delete those files if
you don’t know what they are.
Bo

Try the version 5, have a friendly user interface.

Maybe the trojans that Avira detected, were false positives, so be careful ::slight_smile:
