Yesterday the software updater notified me that an update for java was available. I allowed it to update. Today when I booted up the computer I was once again notified by the updater that there was a java update available. In the software updater I noticed there were two java’s. Both say the same thing,Java Enviroment 7 and if I click on them for more details one has the newest version (7.0.210.11) which I updated yesterday ,and the one that needs an update, which says the local version (whatever that means) is 7.0.170.2., however it also says the new version is 7.0.210.11,I went to my installed programs and I see the following,Java 7 update 17 (64 bit) and the next program listed is,Java 7 update 21. Now not knowing any better I tried to update the Java that the software updater said needed updating and before it could install it said I already had the current version,so my question is this, can I just uninstall the Java 7 update 17 and not cause any problems with my computer. Hope some one can understand what I’m trying to get across.
