Java:Jade-B [heur]

I have windows 7. This morning I ran a virus scan and for the first time it ask me if I wanted to do a Boot Scan. I did the boot scan it came up three times that a file was infected with Java:Jade-B, and gave me several choices to solve the problem. Since I am unfamiliar with the choices, I chose number 1, which was delete. I chose to delete on all three files. After the scan was complete, I googled Java:Jade-B and found it could be FP. It also said that Java can be infected because it is not up-to-date. I went to Java and had my Java version checked and it is up-to-date, which is Java 6 update 23. If my Java is up-to-date, why did it become infected, if I was infected??? I also found that I should not have deleted it, I should have put it in “chest”. One file that was infected was: File C:\users\owner\AppData\Loca1Low\sun\Java\developement\cache\6.0\50\323e97b26206963el7tuvvoaerffb.class
Since I deleted the infection do you think I have anything to worry about with Java??

Please see this thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=67900.0

It seems that the issue described there is very similar to yours (even the filename is very similar).
Anyway, if you are unsure about the detection and you think the file is clean, please submit it as a false positive to our viruslab. The best thing you can do is to move the file to the chest and when the nature of the file is known, act accordingly (delete or restore it).

Thank you for your help. After I put it in the chest how do I send it to the virus lab? This is all new to me. Also, the post you gave me was posted in Dec., so shouldn’t this FP be resolved my now?

Right click the file in the Chest > choose Submit to virus lab > fill out the form

If the file is still detected as a threat it is highly possible its not a FP. If you are sure the file is clean, please submit it to our viruslab and we will have a look at it.
