JAVA jucheck.exe

The short version is how do I get something out of the Chest and keep it out?

For some reason Avast Free 7.0.1474 is now saying Java’s updater, jucheck.exe, is a baddie. I downloaded and installed the latest version of JAVA. Same thing. I removed the prior install, reinstalled the latest. Same thing.

When I click on “Add the File to the Scan exclusion list” nothing happens. I restored the file (multiple times) from the Chest, but Avast keeps putting it back in. And I can’t find any option in the Chest to say this is an OK file… (I scanned the file individually and it scans OK)

How do I fix this??

thanks

you send it to avast lab so they can correct the detection ;)

right click the file in chest, and send it to avast lab

or you can do it here http://www.avast.com/en-no/contact-form.php

or you can send it with mail in a password protected zip file

For e-mail : put “False Postivie” for object.
a password like : infected
submit to “virus[AT]avast.com

OK, I’ll send it (it’s on my other computer).

I’m still curious on how to stop Avast from moving it to the Chest? I trust this file, and it is the latest download from them.
