After I installed Avast 8 Free, software updater notifed that I should update Java Runtime Environment and so I did.
Now it says my status is “critical 40%”!
Indicates that there is an update for Java Runtime Environment 6 (32 bits)
Also indicates that Java Runtime Environment 7 (32 bits) is updated
Just for curiousity, I followed the indication and Avast connected me to Java download, from where my computer downloaded Java Runtime Environment 7.21 which already is instelled, and so it asked me if I really wanted to reinstall it. Take note that Avast indicated that I have Java Runtime Environment 7.21
Obviously there is some messup because if 7.21 is installed correctly, makes no sense to diagnostic that I need to update previous inexistent version 6.0.380.4
Any comment?
It is possible to have JRE 6 and JRE 7 installed at the same time. Check and see if JRE 6 is installed. If so, you can uninstall it without affecting JRE 7.
