java script problems??

I have just installed Avast 4.6. since doing so, I cannot connect to any link that has anything to do with Javascript. Pages such as MSN community sites, some download icons, as well as “submit info” buttons. I am using ZoneAlarm for my firewall. Is there something in the avast that I need to change? Or is it something totally different, having nothing to do with Avast?

Trying to add a smiley to my text isnt working either if thats any help… :slight_smile: (In looking at my post afterwards, the colon and parenthesis that i used worked instead)

Do you mean the free version or the paid one?
Did you install avast! after ZoneAlarm or, on contrary, before?
Can you go to C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Data\avast4.ini file and see what is configurated for ZoneAlarmCompatibility value into [WebScanner] section?
