Java

Just updated to the latest version of Java, For Windows ME. (1.5.0_17-b04). How do I enable Java Script, or should I ?? (can not find it). I was trying to run something the other day, and got message that Java scripting was not enabled, may not look right, or some thing to that affect. Thanks

Have you looked in your browser settings/options firefox > tools >options>content

Java (sun) is checked for IE6. See nothing mentioned about SCRIPT. Thanks

Open IE > tools > internet options > security tab > internet >custom level > active scripting > Enable >ok> yes >Ok… Same for scripting java applets & allow paste operations via script ( I guess )

You don’t actually install javascript it is supported by browsers, and as micky77 said it is encompassed in active scripting in IE’s security settings.

You don’t say what browser you were using when you got this message ?
If firefox, the noscript will also block javascript by default unless you allow or temporarily allow the site.

Found them, got it all. THANKS to all.

You’re welcome, so what was blocking javascript then ?

I have no idea DavidR, except it was the older version, may not have installed right, and i now have updated with the later version. Will see what happens. again Thanks to all.
