This may be a stupid question, but why aren’t any of these programs in use at Jotti and Virus Total?
MBAM / SAS / Ad-Aware / Spybot / CounterSpy / Webroot / PC-Doctor

Mbam,sas,ad-aware,spybot,counterspy are not antivirus so they are not used. Those site only check files against antivirus and not anti-malware/spyware.
Pc-doctor sounds like a rogue.
Not sure about webroot though.Maybe you can email them and ask them to include it

Those site only check files against antivirus and not anti-malware/spyware.And the name is Jotti's malware scan
Besides what was said about their not being AVs. Participation in VirusTotal is by agreement with the software manufacturer, so even if they were to be considered for inclusion then there would have to be agreement.
So that question would be better directed to MBAM / SAS / Ad-Aware / Spybot / CounterSpy / Webroot / PC-Doctor.
There are some AVs that aren’t in VT some that are not really very good but some that consider they are good (Norton for one), but don’t participate, I wonder why ;D

huh? Norton is in VT under the company name Symantec?
I was looking specifically for Norton as there are Symantec AV products which aren’t NAV. I would have though that they would be happier using their main product name for marketing purposes. Many users don’t make the link between Symantec and Norton.
