jpeg files on net reported infected with Çrm` vorm

Since 10th September lot’s of images on sites such as http://rtvslo.si http://news.bbc.co.uk http://spiegel.de and others are reported infected by ||Çrm`||| Virus/Worm.

I’m considering this to be false alarm and browsing experience is degraded due to all Awast popups.

What would you recommend, is there a misdetection or a real worm?

Can you be more specific? Which avast! version are you suing, whats your VPS defs status, which browser are you using, what OS etc…
I just tried your pages and avast! detected nothing (clean). Using Firefox 1.0.6 and WinXP SP2 with fully updated avast!.
Can you give us direct image URL to those problematic images?

I’m using up to date Avast and definitions [QUOTE]Information about current update:
Total time: 7 s

  • Program: Already up to date
    (current version 4.6.691)
  • Vps: Already up to date
    (current version 0536-5)

    on patched WinXP SP2.

I have stopped and restarted Webshield part of On Access protection control and warnings now no longer appear. Perhaps it was just a bug, if I get any I’ll let you know and link images.

Ok
