My log shows that the trojan JS.Agent [trJ] was detected by application 1212 (file name numeric.uk/session/index) does this mean that it was blocked/removed successfully as I wasn’t on the computer my sister was
Also my computer did not show the boot up screen after starting my computer and the screen was black with no hard drive activity so I restarted the computer manually and used my Norton recovery disk to scan the disk for errors and it said that windows had fixed problems with the security descriptors, what do you think it means by this and would running Norton recovery Disk have affected the running of my software or is it just like using scandisk built into windows?
It depends on what your selected action was when it was detected, Move to chest, delete, what did you select ?
Your info doesn’t appear to be complete as there is no file name.
Check the avast! Log Viewer (right click the avast ‘a’ icon), Warning section, this contains information on all avast detections.
Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
its justs says a sign of JS.Agent [trJ] was found at numeric.hk/session/index.php. I dont know what was pressed as someone else was on the computer at the time
Well that looks like it is a web location ( but no http: // etc. unless you dropped that to avoid it being a live link) so it is most certainly the web shield that detected it and the only option is to abort the connection, so nothing should have been saved to the hard disk.
In answer to yore earlier question which I didn’t answer as I don’t know what the Norton recovery disk does or if it has anything to do with other Norton products. If it is like scandick if it repaired some problems, if it was able to boot then I would be happy, I doubt that this had anything to do with the js.agent detection that was found.
I ran Norton Disk Doctor which appears to be just like scandisk for the most part so I would hope it was safe to do that also do you know what the trojan does that was detected so I can double check if I have it or not?
