I did a thorough scan yesterday after d/l’ing the new 5.0,now I’m probably completely wrong here and unfortunately I don’t have any figures to compare,but,it seems that when I scanned using the older 4.8 version it scanned alot more files,I know its probably just my imagination,but it should scan the same as before,correct? And to repeat,it was a thorough scan.
Without knowing what the two scans were there is no way to comment as there is no direct correlation between the 4.8 and 5.0 scans. So you would have to choose a 5.0 scan that closely matches what you selected in 4.8 to make any comparison.
Thorough (with or without archives, etc.) in 4.8 doesn’t have an equivalent in 5.0 the full scan is possibly the closest, but it is more selective in the archives it scans. The 5.0 Quick scan is very quick and does what would be considered the essentials, C drive, start-up entries and memory scan.
