ok… a few things…
I downloaded after reading a review of it… vs AVG6… so I installed it… (my drive was having problems…)
but when the drive went nutso… I tried to remove it… using your tool…
and lost my vid drivers! (running W98SE/P3-500/was on a 13Gb Maxtor… and using ATI Rage Fury Pro)
Used GOBack to go back to when it was running… and restored it…
hopped over to a WD 80Gig i had just picked up and copied all the files… or whatever could be copied by WD’s Data Lifeguard.
Rebooted on the new drive… and it working… (had a couple of odd things… like a BSOD on Windows… hitting any key lets it actually load and run… no problem…(working on it) and ran Avast . re-set up the icons in the bottom… and the VRDB… and ran it on thorough Scan…
and ALARMs RING!! it found jao-dll as a virus…
couldnt delete it… or repair or move… so used the delete on boot up…
that did it…
but on running again… got another two files and again alarms… and all the choices…
questions…
A: why could I not remove the program either from A/r or with your tool and not lose my Vid Settings???
B: I usually like to do a scan at nite… or let the program run automatically (like AVG) and let IT delete the file…
it seem I have to be here to monitor the files??? can it be set to auto-delete/move whatever???
I decided to stay with Avast for the Email setup and the full time Customer Service I read about!
