Hello to all, I have been tasked by my company to try and test the new On-Premise Management Console, so I downloaded its setup and installed it on a test server.
It installed fine and now I’m stuck in the initial page where it asks me for the code.
I have clicked the link to create a new trial code but the link sends me to a page where there isn’t any option to create one.
The link points to this page:
https://www.avast.com/managed-antivirus#smb-trialform-open
In the lower part of the page if I click on the “Free 30 day trial” it sends me here:
https://business.avast.com/?trialProducts=EDITION_3&ar=
However I only managed to activate the Cloud Console, which is not what we want to try.
What is the procedure to obtain the trial code for the On-Premise Console?
Please help!
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards.
Hello,
create a trial on business.avast.com and get license code from there
Claudiu
Thank you for your suggestion!
I did this way:
- I activated the Cloud Console by going to https://business.avast.com and logged in with the email and password I used when I created my account
- In the Cloud Console I clicked the “Subscriptions” link and then chose the Avast version I wanted to try out and clicked the “Try” button
- The trial period started and then , when logged off the cloud console and on again , I returned to the “Subscriptions” section and clicked on the “Got activation code?” link, and then I was shown the trial code , which I copied in the clipboard
- I then opened the On-Premise Console again and pasted this code and FINALLY I could get in!
I have to say I had already tried the following things:
- replied to an email from forumaster@avast.com which was asking which avast version I wanted to try; never got a reply
- replied to an email from Avast which reminded me that I had not installed any device yet; never got a reply
- created a ticket to the Avast support; I was replied after 4 days (!!) with uhm uhm…a not very useful answer ( >:( )
Your answer instead was very useful, thank you! ;D
Now I have some more problems with the On-Premise console which I’ve just activated, but that’s another story
Have a nice day,
Mike
