I purchased the full version of Avast 5.xx last week. I have several issues with Avast. First, I just installed windows 7 (I was using XP). Now when I tried to install Avast that I paid for last week, it says that my email is not valid, and also that my license is out of date. I would like some help on this. I also have the Avast CD which I received in the mail, which also gives me the same message. I cut and pasted the license number from the Avast email and put it in the appropriate space, and it just says that my license is not valid. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. I would appreciate your help. I tried to download the file from that was provided to me in Avast’s email to me but I couldn’t open the file. Again, very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

To answer your question, yes, I did install avast on the license on the same computer. But I do have license to install in on 3 computers anyway. The only change is that I installed windows 7.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO BE ABLE TO USE THE PRODUCTS I PURCHASED FROM AVAST.
I would really appreciate some help here from anyone who can assist me. Thank you—JD
Here is the guide to install the license file into avast!:
Add the key into avast! internet security
Let us know what you did. You might also want to make sure the date and time is set properly, as pondus mentioned. Also make sure you have already not installed it on 3 computers.
EDIT : @ pondus thumbs up
There is also a video here

Thank you,
I will check the date and time when I get home to that computer. Also, I only installed Avast on the one computer.
Note: the message that I got was that the license was out of date.
Note 2: The link above to the avast! support center has been just a white screen that I have been waiting to load for over 5 minutes and nothing is coming up.
I did try another of the links and that is exactly what I was looking for–A step by step video how to install the product. I will try it when I get home tonight on that computer. Thank you all for your input. I will follow up and let you know how it all works out.
