Since ages I have RUBotted installed. It is sitting there telling me “No botnet malware found”. But has it any functionality?
Works via ADVAPI32.DLL 11 functions, iphlpapi.dll and PSAPI.DLL 1 function both. What patterns is it checking?
How to check it actually works?

Anyone to comment on the workings of RUBotted. Is it FUD, has it been left? Is it Snake Oil? Or just a Trend Micro Software Pusher?

Hi Pondus,

It is also a bit difficult to dive into the settings because they are in PTN files, like rub10017.ptn and you need a specific file viewer to have a peak at it!
