I was proud that avast detected them(On-access scanner) but just wanted to be sure that these viruses were blocked and i was not infected.of course i deleted them
I think i can’t understand you(maybe because my english is poor).
the question is why have i got it-whatt?The virus or something else?
Do i need it-what to i need?
I was just serching for something. clicked on a link and when the new page loaded there were several warnings from avast!I deleted all the viruses and now my system is clean.
I don’t know almost anything about java.I only now that weeks ago i downloaded some plugin for mozzila firefox-i think this was it’s name-sun java.Sorry.I’m a beginner

I don’t know almost anything about java.I only now that weeks ago i downloaded some plug-in for mozzilla firefox-i think this was it’s name-sun java.Sorry.I’m a beginner
I think i don’t use it.What is it used abot? How to switch it off.In the settings of firefox i don’t see it
I installed it becouse firefox wanted to install this plugin to be able to show the full content of a web page. So i did.But when not using i want to switch it off.Can you tell me how.
Thanks for the help! ;D :
Go to this website and it will use Java to give you a live view of my local beach. You will see the Java coffee cup icon in your system tray. Right lick on it and open the control console, you can initiate update from there.
the update takes ages and does not let you watch the progress so give it time.
OK but what if i want to turn it off.I just don’t use it.
1.I visited the site.No picture in the taskbar-i think because before i choosed to hide the icon.
2.In the menu(firefox)Tools-.JavaScript console-there are errors when visiting this page
Error: syntax error

It's not only your page. There are many errors that I've deleted.I don't use the java (or almost) so i want to turn it off and be secure.
Thanks again!
You will be missing out on a lot of web content if you don’t allow Java.
I use Sun’s Java as the Firefox plugin and occasionally get the avast! warnings you’ve been getting, but I wouldn’t turn Java off because of that, just keep it up to date.
You should be able to access the control console form
your Start menu in your Programs list. It will be listed as Sun Sytems Java, or something like that. I’m not on my own machine at the moment so I can’t tell you for sure.
it was recently checked for updates i think. It’s version 1.5.0-b64.I clicked on update but a message appeared that it’s up to date.-You already have the latest Java™Platform on this system
And how to make the icon to appera again becouse it’s hidden ??? ??? ??? ???
Go to My Computer and then Control Panel. There will be an icon for Java Plug-in. Open it and Java Control Panel will open. Go to Updates Tab and hit Update Now button.
OK as i already said there is a message that I’m using the latest version. So there is no need to download anything ???
If everything was up-to-date how did these viruses entered to my PC-isn’t the java patched-version 1.5.0-b64.
Thank you for you answers-now i know it’s updated
