Just updated... issue

Hi there…

Just upadated to the new free version… 10.4.2233

Does not feel the same, maybe slightly sluggish … and after opening main window and looking up settings etc… after closing to tray again… my Asus Smart Gesture (two finger touch for right-click menu on desktop) is unresponsive for quite a few seconds.

I forgot to make a note of the previous version I had (which i want back!) … the new update talked about being ten times faster in some regard and some feature had a name change << if any of that helps to now what version I had before… … i updated without paying too much attention you see, as I was multitasking… any help much appreciated.

have you tried to reboot a couple of times after install?

Yep… multiple reeboots… and after reaching desktop… cursor is busy for longer than normal too.

If I open up Avast and click on settings… then cancel and shutdown to sys tray… Asus Smart Gesture is unresponsive when using the trackpad two finger touch gesture for right-click menu on desktop for about 10 seconds…

Update: though the right-click trackpad button does work and somehow immediately reactivates the two finger touch gesture… o_0

If that’s how it’s going to be … I can live with that.

I noticed it also. I think it’s the web shield. Using XP, with HTTPS turned off. It still feels sluggish compared to 2218.
I’m using 2233 Free.

Just uninstalled > cleaned traces > custom reinstalled to preference (full megabyte version without Download.com) - File System Shield & Web Shield only, no tools… rebooted… (hmmmm, Avast might feel faster… dunno).

Still the same issue though … i’ts like it goes to sleep … right-click button wakes the Asus gesture app up, as well as starting a program from the taskbar etc.

Anyway, it’s just a little niggle… =]
