Well it’s been a year but the KM team finally has a security based update for their browser:
That’s awesome. But… however I’m sticking with Maxthon and Flock
Flock looks like open source and has Win, Linux and Mac! But why does Maxthon require you to have Internet Explorer installed. Flock is in developer preview. It stills has some development to go but looks interesting. Thanks for letting me know.
Ehh… Maxthon is like a upgrade from IE but with alot more Features and helpful tools. One of them is Tab Browsering of course. There Pop-blocker is #1 choice in my book :o
And… yes, Flock is in fact good. But untill the final, I’m using Maxthon for now.
In fact its conception is an IE core browser. Without IE you won’t have Maxthon… :-\ :
I don’t think it is a good idea to contribute to the longevity and usefulness of IE by utilizing anything that requires IE to run. The whole idea behind open source is to make IE, and MS, a market nicher rather than a market monopolizer.
I assume this is you’re personal opinion?
There are still those of us who happen to like and use IE based browsers and our opinion differs slightly from yours. ;D ;D
Hopefully while I assume, I’m not making an ass out of u and me ;D ;D
Bob … that statement just begs for a comment … but I refuse to make it! :-X ;D 8)
But you already did… ;D ;D
You made one out of yourself. The topic is about an open source browser. What do you expect? And how old are you anyway? “U”?.. give me a break. The fact remains that if wasn’t for MS and IE there wouldn’t be a need for Avast. Get it? It doesn’t even come close to providence. It comes closer to enabling bad behavior.
An answer isn’t needed. At least, if nothing else, you’re reply made you feel better.
This thread isn’t about me as intended. You made it about you. Personalities before principles?
Hmmmm K-Meleon looks very nice guys.Anybody using it and can give some opinion on it?
P.S: Don’t turn this thread into another IE vs. open source browsers debate, this thread is about K-Meleon OK?
Regards,
Mikey
It is a good secure browser. I’ve been using it about 4 years. Development has been slow the last couple years. It is now under new management. BTW, they need help with all sorts of projects. You don’t need to be a programmer. They will find something for you to do like beta testing and so forth.
