mein Avast-Free läuft in 2 Tagen ab und seit einer Woche versuche ich die Free-Version zu verlängern. Jedesmal klicke ich die Free-Option an, werde als so toller Kunde bezeichnet und auf ein kostenpflichtiges Abo oder einen Testzeitraum verwiesen. Diese “Angebote” lehne ich ständig ab, aber damit ist auch die kostenlose Weiternutzung nicht aktiv geworden. Seit einer Woche nervt mich dieses Prozedere und in 2 Wochen bekomme ich eh einen neuen Rechner. Hab seit diesem Terror derzeit keine Lust mehr auf Avast und ist der Windows Defender mittlerweile ausreichend? Werde die paar Tage wenn jetzt das Avast-Free abläuft und ich eh nicht verlängern kann, bis zum neuen Rechner wohl mit dem Windows Defender auskommen müssen. Danke für Hilfe, ob Avast vielleicht doch noch kostenlos zu verlängern wäre? Hoffe ich bin im richrigen Forum, bin leider nicht freiwillig hier. 
The activation of Avast Free is affecting a lot of users. Avast are aware of it, but first attempt at fixing it seems not to work for some people.
This post Unable to reactivate Avast Free antivirus - #50 by 111jiri.kubala suggests uninstalling Avast using their uninstall program avastclear.exe that you can download from Avast. Avast Removal Tool | Download Avast Clear | Avast
Then install Avast Free again using the offline installer e.g. from this post. New version 25.8
I do not know the success rate of this.

Thx for your help as a normal user. Seems to be too much for an avast expert to overview this forum and give a statement. Seems they have no experts, when they are too stupid to program an easy extension. No good reputation to protect us against expert hackers. Thx again, but deinstall, reinstall is so embarrassing for a pro company. Good night avast and i change to an expert antivirus-software on my new pc.
