Kazza lite k++ 2.4.3 not scanned

i’m using klite k++ 2.4.3 with win 98se and avast last version and i noticed that no files were scanned in the p2p shield ??? the standard shield scanned my downloaded files when i opened them… but that’s not enough…

is it normal or is there a pb of confg somewhere ?

but the topic said the trouble came from the process wich was kazaa.kpp and not kazaalite.kpp…

it also said tha this bug would be fixed in next avast release…

what’s up now ?

Hi, what is your running process of Kazaa? If it’s kazaalite.kpp, kazaa.kpp or kazaa.exe avast! should guard your system. Please check registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kazaa\LocalContent and the value DownloadDir (the directory which avast! guards). If you copy some file into this directory avast! should scan that file.

But my registry keys are ok and the task is kazaa.kpp

so i can’t see where’s the problem :frowning: my p2p shields keeps empty (no scanning)

OK, please try little test. Download EICAR test virus (www.eicar.org) a put that file into you “share” directory for Kazaa (it means the directory which is in registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kazaa\LocalContent key → value DownloadDir). When you copy that file, avast! should scan it and inform you that virus was detected.
