Keep MS FW and Defender activated?

Hi,

Just upgraded to Avast 5 ( why didnt my ver 4.8 tell me of a whole new upgrade? :).

Would people recommend turning off Windows Defender ( i.e. disabling the realtime scanning )… and also disabling the MS Firewall?..

Is the Network shield just as good as MS FW?.. or does the MSFW suck it ? :)…

I’ve not heard of any known conflict between them. so you might leave it on.

Network shield has nothing to do with Firewall protection. those are different. you must have both Firewall and Network shield On.
