Polonus, won’t be too much redundant have a lot of lists?
Does AdBlock manage duplicate entries?

Tech pretty sure ABP dose not handle duplicate entries however there is a very useful tool on the ABP web site that does check for this problem.

I use a couple of filters, copy and paste them into the online ABP tool. Over time with the use of this tool have come up with my own list.

Adblock Plus Web Tools
Find useless filters duplicate entries etc

Hi Peter
Thanks for the tool link
Status: Finished
* No useless filters have been found
Guess I’m O.K. ;D

Ok, but you have to do it manually ???

It would be nice if this functionality were built in to AdBlock Plus.

Whilst it returned the:
* No useless filters have been found

It was really too darn quick, almost as soon as I clicked the find useless filters button, it returned the above result. So for me too quick to have confidence in the findings.

Ok, but you have to do it manually

Tech you made me chuckle mate, with 39564 plus posts …manual is a worry? ;D

Totally agree guys useless filters/duplicate filter functionality built into ABP would be fab, guess we can’t have everything?

Hi TedNelly,

You can’t have everything, well a lot more can be realized. So you add a whole lot of security in combining the old ABP with for instance the incredible protection of the unforgettable NoScript, and using the bugdetecting FoxBeacon to know what to block further with ABP (Web Bugs that is, you know those nasty little 1 x 1 pixel tracking bggrs, or block them flat out in the advanced options of NoScript), I just had a nice discussion with the French maker of the malware APB list for France, pirlouy,
good to have the list for your lingo added, so I inscribed onto Dutch and Polish block lists, and the various English speaking lists,
