on my fairly new notebook (last year) with vista, avast keeps scanning files and it slows down my internet explorer. For example minimizing internet explorer causes avast to scan. I dissabled everything but web shield en standaard shield. Web shield is fine. It’s standard shield that’s annoying me. It’s scan not the active website (duh?) but
c:/users/***/appdata/local/microsoft/windows/history/…
temporairy internet files (emptied it)
.dll files (i don’t know, i don’t know anything about dll files lol)
c:/program files
when going into my documents it scans i legit .exe file, again not necessary
so what the problem? Avast also slows down my music which is playing when it decides to scan
You shouldn’t disable anything to have avast working, the Internet connecting and in right speed… Do you have any other antivirus installed? Had in the past? Is your computer clean (not infected)?
i guess it’s clean yes, i got some warnings (adtris) but i always used abort connection option from avast
I scanned using adaware, used hijackthis, trendmirco online scan,…everything clean.
i dissabled p2p,outlook,instant mess, internet post (cuz i don’t use it so no need to scan it) Well i just hoped it made it faster then with everything on. I didn’t dissabled any boxes in the standard shield or web shield so everything is on a normal level.
What i don’t understand is why standaard shield scans my temporary internet files.
Standard shield scan count 1279 in less then 30minutes.
