Kerio Personal Firewall will be discontinued

I received an email today, Kerio Personal Firewall will be discontinued as of December 31, 2005. I use this with my Avast as I like how they work together on my computer, my question is, would I be OK just using my Avast and my Windows Firewall? or does anyone know of a firewall that works good with Avast? Thanks
Randy
I also was reading that the Kerio Personal Firewall will still be able to use , but I just would feel better with some support on my firewall if I needed it,

Take a look at the followin thread for more information.

Randy, if you don’t mind, just searching a little the board and you’ll find tons of Firewall suggestions.
Each user will do his/her owns. Mine: ZA (free), Outpost (free), Sygate (free), Outpost (Pro).

Thanks for the info,I am new to this and learning as I go, Thanks

Hi there and Welcome to forums !

See the second part of my message in this reply I made today:

Regards !

Aside from the ones listed by Tech “ZA (free), Outpost (free), Sygate (free) {soon to be discontinued, bought out by Symantec}, Outpost (Pro)” There are others so a search for freeware firewalls on google will probably turn up some more. Then you need to do some more research on if they are any good (more google-ing or the forums) for reviews on the firewall you are considering.

Hi folks,

Yes, we are going to see more of this coming. To be able to dominate the Net on their terms, the big security products will buy up a lot of minor competitors to incorporate them in their own products, that you have to pay for. This scaling up is not a phenomenon in security products alone, but is an ongoing trend all over the Internet. If we are not acting our choice is set to a take it or leave it basis. And you can guess who is there to take, and who are left?
