I try to go to it and Avast pops up saying a trojan has been found. Is this a FP or has Yahoo been hijacked???
I’m getting the same notice.
Avast just auto-updated to VPS: 080622-0
And I get a message about the link http://www.yahoo.com/\unp145957613 being VBS:Malware-gen
I’m really just trying to open http://www.yahoo.com but it adds that other portion in the message I get.
Going to http://my.yahoo.com/ doesn’t give the same error, only yahoo.com
I’m getting this same alarm. Started happening after todays update. Have never had problems with yahoo before. Is avast going to give us a fix?
See:
Windows XP, Service Pack 2.
I am in the USA an get the virus detected when I try to go to yahoo home page. I just had an update to today and Its is getting to me that I can not go to yahoo! 080622-0 is my file version.
Seems I am not the only one that has this problem. I hope it is fixed soon. I hate to download a new virus protection. THis was working great until today.
fixed, please update your avast
I am getting the same message:
After this mornings Avast update, I cannot access www.yahoo.com without getting the following warning:
Sign of “VBS:Malware-gen” has been found in “http://www.yahoo.com/\unp160827017” file.
My location is in Guam, so this must be either a world-wide problem, or simply another Avast false positive.
It was a false positive and Avast has fixed the problem. Just manually do another update
