It started happening for me a few minutes ago after Avast updated. I get a virus warning every time I try to go to yahoo.com. I’m guessing it’s a false positive.
So what is the deal? Has anyone heard from or revcd ANY notification form AVAST?
I have been using their product for the past 3 years and although I can’t complain about FREE, I should would like to know if a fix is coming. I have NEVER repeat NEVER had any kind of virus, trojan, malware, etc. try to ruin my HD since I have been running AVAST.
I sur hope someone gives a fix soon.
Bye the way, as soon as I got the voice notification from the AVAST software at appros 7:15 EST. today 6/22/2008 is when the probs w/Yahoo started…
Hi, there. I’m getting the same thing too. I cleared my temporary internet files after this alarm happened.

I seem to be having a similar problem but my virus name is yahoo_com[1].html is this the same virus??? It appears on my computer that runs VISTA, but not on my computer that’s running Windows2000.
I can’t get into my yahoo accounts. Am I right in thinking this is a harmless warning or not?
If you open up Avast, select Web Shield and click customize you can add yahoo.com to the list of addresses to ignore, might not be the perfect solution, but it’s better than waiting for it to be fixed.
