It appears that my original post has disappeared. I’m seriously thinking of asking for a refund as Avast is giving me more grief than it is worth. I initially was using the free AV and decided to upgrade (as it keeps asking if you want this and that) and it appears I paid for the Premier cleanup. Since that was downloaded I have not been able to access the internet via mobile hotspot (it connects but no access). From previous answers to my initial question I finally found the interface is in the AV only but when I click on “Protection” to change the privacy setting it asks me to upgrade. Why isn’t this feature available and why has the hotspot been blocked?
Maybe you can try to change the settings of your network connection from the control panel (I guess you are using windows, right?)
I had the same issue but could solve it forcing the settings i wanted. The avast firewall was updating something that didnt let my device connect properly
Maybe you need to read the other topic before offering that advice.
