Laptop keeps restarting

My laptop keeps restarting by itself for no reason , when it started , i scanned the laptop using avast and got few viruses:
Win32:Malware-Gen
and
Win32:PUP-gen

I delete all, and works fine, but after the next day, it happen again, restarted again . .
I was wondering , is it the virus is making this problem ?
Is it hard to remove the virus i just said ?
Pls help . .

Thx ~

What were the file names and locations of these detections ?

Deletion isn’t really a good first option (you have none left), ‘first do no harm’ don’t delete, send virus to the chest (a protected area) and investigate.

If it keeps coming back, there is likely to be an undetected or hidden element to the infection that restores or downloads the file again. What is your firewall ?

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).

Don’t worry about reported tracking cookies they are a minor issue and not one of security, allow SAS to deal with them though. - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.

The files name i got written it on my phone, its something like :A0010624.exe
There’s more but i didn’t write it on the phone, n all is deleted, infected by Malware Gen

Im using windows firewall.

EDITED: About the log , now im still downloading the things u ask me to download , i’ll post the logs ASAP.

Files like that are usually from the system volume information folder (part of system restore) and this would be a restore point file.

If they are all of that type of file name format:

  • Infected Restore Points -
There really is little benefit in chasing a detection in the system volume information folder. It is only there because it had previously been deleted or moved from the system folders and this is a back-up created by system restore.

  • Worst case scenario it isn’t infected and you delete it, you can’t use that restore point in the future, not much of a loss and the older the restore point is the less of an issue it is.

  • So if there is any suspicion about a restore point then it is best removed from the system volume information folder or it could bite you in the rear at some point in the future when you use system restore if it included that restore point.

Oh okay, so what must i do now?

Now my laptop just blackout. .
This is getting annoying . . really need to fix this . .

THis is all quick scan.

Well there is nothing on there that could be any issue.

By a black screen ‘blacked out’ I take it you mean crashed ?
If so this is more likely to be a hardware issue, possible overheating, rather than malware or BSOD driver conflict, etc.

Do you have your system set to BSOD rather than just restart ?
XP, Control Panel, System, Advanced, Startup and Recovery (Settings button), System failure, Automatically restart ?

If so you want it to Write an event, etc. see image example of my settings (click to expand).

If they are set to write and event, etc. (BSOD) and you are getting this black out it is more likely to be a hardware issue, what that might be is very difficult to say.

My hardware is just normal , got fan under of my laptop ofcourse . .

Automatically Restart untick.

Oh man , im sorry for all this trouble . .
The laptop keeps restarting because of the button came out from the laptop keyboard…
When i touched it , self restarted =_="
