Last Infected 88.80.7.152/photo

I keep getting messages that something is trying to do something wrong on my computer. every 0 minutes or so avast will pop up with a message stating that 88.80.7.152/photo… is trying to get out… There are other addresses but I just can’t write them down fast enough. I look at the Avast On Acess Scanner and am told Last Infected : 88.80.7.152/photo and the last scanned item keeps changing. Right now infected count says 36.

How do I stop all this?

Thanks in advance…

Run a boot time scan. (32bit only)
You can also run free Mbam. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
asyn

you could install screenshot captor in conjuntion with irfanview for screenshots.
also try scanning with ad aware free version from majorgeeks.

also if you click on start/ in the run box type msconfig/ click on it should open a system configuration box/ click on tools/ scroll down for task manager/ launch this to see if you have any suspicious processes running.

What avast version are you using 4.8 or 5.0 and what is your Operating system ?

Which on-access Shield is it, is this image (avast5) the same as the one you are getting (I suspect it is the Network Shield) ?

What is your firewall ?

  • It should be capable of blocking unauthorised outbound Internet Connections. - What is your firewall ?

If you can capture an image of the alert, that may tell us what process is responsible for the attempt to connect to the site (and you should be able to block it in your firewall, if it is malicious).
