Last virus definitions? Auto-update not working?

What’s the last virus definitions version currently?

I’m asking because I noticed that my Avast installation shows this:

Current version: 140630-1
Release date: 30.6.2014 20:49:04
Connection: Connection established
Latest update received: 2.7.2014 1:36:22 (that’s few minutes ago)

Automatic update is on. Avast tray icon says “everything is good”. ::slight_smile:

This is exactly the same problem that Avast 8.x had!! It’s still not fixed I see. After a while (no reboots of OS), the auto-updates just stop completely. I have had Avast installed for just over a week now… and this again starts already. :frowning:

This is clean Windows 8.1.1 machine with no other AV’s previously installed (except the microsoft defender which comes as default… and goes off when Avast is installed).

Not again this same problem with Avast 9.

Manually clicking the update button brings the version to: 140701-0 (release date: 2.7.2014 0:21:34 … compare that date/time to the above “latest update received”, interesting) Avast is starting to be too buggy and even have started to receive bad AV test results. Most unfortunate.

Hmmmmmm, same thing here, but as long as stream updates are on youre fine.

I’ve streaming updates on but does it really matter, and are you safe, if the auto-updates of definitions do not work?! What’s the point of virus definitions if streaming updates keep you safe? Something doesn’t add up with that conclusion.

EDIT: You did read my new topic AND posted a reply just in about minute after I started this topic?! :o Talk about fast.

No problem here on xp
Latest VPS is 140701

You can read and reply in few minutes, no problem. Just be to the right time at the right place

It updated after i manually updated through UI.

VPS Updates contain backups of all stream updates.
