Latest CIS achieves 100%, 10+ rating at Matousec

I have an Emachine I bought in late 2005 that came with XP Media center SP2 and a full gig of Ram. It’s a fine machine.

@Dch48:

I don’t want to hard sell, but the deals I can offer on the Cool-Aid cups cant last forever.
I am loosing money here.

Come on,we both gotta live right?

Order now and and I will throw in a “Hail Abdulhayoglu” rosary,
suitable for those quite moments when your heart turns to Melih, with
every order of 10,000 or more cups!!

Am I crazy? YES!! Crazy about Comodo!!

You really aren’t funny. I am no worshipper of Melih but I do think he’s a sincere hard working guy committed to making the web safer for everyone. If you would read my posts on the Comodo forums, you would see I post as much about what I perceive as weaknesses of CIS (which are only in usability for the general public) as well as it’s strengths (which are many).

I could give less of a damn what you belive,or post on you your forum.

The price just went up on the cups!!

I lied Kenny!! I don’t feel no ways tired!!

No thanks, I prefer the free solutions ;D

Right I have never paid for a reformat and reinstall of windows yet!!

Does anyone wonder about the sudden influx of Comodo drones that have shown up recently?

This poster under a slightly different name has whined to Melih about the
Anti-Comodo rhetoric on the Avast! Forums.
Check the threads concerning the anti-virus data base debacle.
I cant provide a URL because my free proxy is overloaded.

i’ll never criticize or praise comodo since i havent used it yet… :stuck_out_tongue:

You should be more concerned with why people feel a need to bash another product on these forums. Nobody bashes avast! on the Comodo forums. They recognize that it is another fine offering in the field. I use both products and I like both products. These forums should be about avast! and provide information and help for users of the program. That was what I came here to find since I recently installed avast! on another machine here and I’m impressed with it so far. Comodo users are no more “drones” then avast! users.

Normishmael are you referring to me ???

Can’t be me because I have the same name there and I never have said anything about these forums since I never came here before two days ago.

Dch48,

I am a member of the Comodo forum and I do used the CIS firewall and +D along with Avast 4.8 Home Edition, and I don’t talk about Comodo CIS product on the Avast forum why? because it not the right place and it not the right forum to discuss problem and issue about Comodo here.

IF I have a problem with Avast Anti-virus I discuss it here, if I have a problem with Comodo CIS I discuss my problem at Comodo forum TRUE! am I correct or am I DUMB!.

Right I have never paid for a reformat and reinstall of windows yet!!

I never got the problem because I logged on after the bad update had already been retracted. The people who went so far as reformatting and reinstalling didn’t have to do so, they panicked. I’ll admit that it was a bad incident that could have been prevented, but we’ve all seen many other things happen in life that could also have been prevented. Accidents happen.

I also am a member of the Comodo forums and I agree with you. Nobody on the Comodo forums feels the need to bash avast! in any way. (Although they do sometimes bash Symantec and I have defended them the same way I defended Comodo here.) I would have never mentioned Comodo if I didn’t see them being attacked. As far as this topic goes, everybody concerned with security on the web should applaud improvements made in that area no matter who made them. It only pushes competing providers to improve their offerings to keep up and who is the winner from that? We all are.

they bash avast as well; you’re kidding or what ? Comodo forums has become a nest of bashing fan boys…there are fan boys everywhere right, without a doubt, but Comodo seems to lead the herds for a while now, with the CEO showing the way with cheap arguments about network and internet security lol ;D

edit: Comodo is as a rule conflicting with every other security software company, that’s a shame.

No,I am referring to Marc…Of course I am referring to you.
I am also acknowledging that I can not find your post(Surprise! Surprise!) where
you urged Melih to “do something about” the bad publicity Ciomodo
had over the Certs to malware domains, and now anti-virus data base issue,
at Avast Forums and other blogs, forums etc…

Now my question is in addition, to being a shill, how big of a liar are you?
Do you deny what I have said reference your post?

I never bash avast product at Comodo NEVER  in my life because I love Avast as always I’ve been using the software for nearly 4 or 5 years now, I’m still not 100% sure about Comodo AV it still a very long way off comparing against Avast ;D

I have NEVER seen anyone bash avast! on the Comodo forums. Many people use it in conjunction with the Comodo Firewall and nobody criticizes them for doing so. Nobody bashes Alwill, or calls their user base “drones” or anything even remotely resembling that. None of the regular posters there will hesitate to call Comodo out on things they consider to be faults.

edit: Comodo is as a rule conflicting with any other security software company, that's a shame.

I would love to see your reasoning and proof behind that statement.

I agree that at this point, avast! is probably better than the AV component of CIS but they will catch up. The thing to remember though is that Comodo’s AV has no need for things like mail scanners or a web shield because the HIPS component, known as Defence Plus, stops everything in it’s tracks even if it gets past the AV. I still use the full package of CIS though with avast! installed on my ladyfriend’s machine because Comodo is too advanced for her. I think both products are fine offerings and I will support both of them, but still reserve the right to criticize them when I feel it’s necessary.
