My pc has been infected by some virus and the AVAST! database is outdated. My pc is not connectedto internet so I can’t update it online. Is there any way of getting the latest update virus database/definition list so that I can clean the virus?
It creates my documents.exe and new folder.exe and also one more folder with the name of the administrator.
Please provide some help.
Hello. The simplest way I can think of to do this is, get a friend to download the latest VPS from avast! and burn it to a cd. Also downloading a few additional solutions could help detect and ferret the infection. Anti spyware apps, a second opinion stand alone ( non resident) virus scanner, lspfix, hijackthis, aswclnr from avast!, a rootkit detector, and anything else that may help. Update avast! and install the other tools, then reboot in safe-mode and run a thorough full system scan. Good luck! I hope this helps.
